Iris Gorfinkel, MD, CM, is a family physician and founder/principal investigator of PrimeHealth Clinical Research, based in Toronto, Ontario. She has participated in over 60 clinical trials in primary care with a specialty focus on women's health and vaccination research, including Shingrix.  She served as a co-author in the NEJM article heralding its success and has served on the Shingrix Advisory Board. She is a regular medical contributor to CBC Radio One, Corus Media and Zoomer Media. Her patient advocacy has focused on the formation of a national vaccine registry, COVID-19 prevention, and  drug cost transparency to physicians when prescribing.
