Redefining the Status Quo, Part 2: Navigating Changes Surrounding Carotid Artery Stenting in 2024
As of January 1, 2024, CMS has updated its National Coverage Decision regarding carotid revascularization, specifically related to carotid artery stenting (CAS). The NCD gives patients access to a full range of therapies available, and these changes are expected to give access to an additional 455,000 patients nationwide. Part two of this webinar series discusses the management of carotid stenosis including updated treatment algorithms, trends across specialties and the importance of a multi-specialty approach, quality and outcome control, education and training, and what the future holds for carotid revascularization.
