read more ↘ from two independent cohorts of consecutive patients undergoing coronary CTA in Germany and at Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, OH. The results of this paper shows that a novel new biomarker found thorough coronary computed tomography angiography (CTA )—the perivascular fat attenuation index (FAI) - measures coronary inflammation, and enhances cardiac risk/mortality prediction. This type of testing could lead to clinical implications in guidance of care in the future. Learn more about this study at http://www.thelancet.com/
