Acute and Chronic Management of Multiple Sclerosis
Lecturer: Aliza Ben-Zacharia, PhD, DNP
Aliza is an assistant professor at the School of Nursing at Hunter College, City University of NY. This presentation will discuss the multiple disease modifying treatments for MS, their mechanism of action, efficacy and safety profile. Symptomatic care and rehabilitation strategies including complementary wellness modalities will be discussed. In conclusion, two case studies will be presented illustrating the application of the different treatments in MS while focusing on COVID-19 in the last case.
