The State of the State of Asthma: 2024 Guidelines and Changes

Brian is the Clinical Supervisor, Asthma, Allergy and COPD Care Coordinator at the Terry Reilly Health Centers in Boise, Idaho and President and Conference Chair, The American Academy of Physician Assistants in Allergy, Asthma & Immunology.
The recommendations for the treatment of asthma have changed dramatically in the past few years. This fast-paced video presentation will look at what medication options are available and review the latest GINA and US (EPR-4) asthma guidelines. Brian will recommendations for "SMART therapy" (ie: Single Maintenance And Reliever Therapy). He talks about how the overuse of albuterol is the single most consistent factor associated with asthma admissions and death.
